NDSU Soccer Adds Transfer Elyse Huber From Nebraska

FARGO, N.D. â€" North Dakota State University women's soccer head coach Mike Regan announced Tuesday, Jan. 8, the addition of transfer Elyse Huber to the team. Huber, a forward, joins the Bison after playing the last three seasons at Nebraska.

Huber appeared in 53 matches over the last three seasons for the Huskers, including 27 starts. She tallied eight goals and two assists. She recorded 64 shots, with 29 of them coming on goal. Huber was named the United Soccer Coaches National Player of the Week on August 22, 2017 when she tallied three goals in three Husker victories, including two against Tulsa. She was also named to the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team in 2017. Huber appeared in a pair of NCAA Tournament matches for the Huskers in 2016, as they advanced to the second round.

After spending her first three high school seasons at Burlington High School (Iowa), Huber finished her high school career at Sioux City East High School (Iowa). She earned second team all-state hono rs in 2014 and 2015. She played for a pair of club teams in high school, including the Iowa City Alliance and the Omaha Football Club.

Huber becomes the 10th member of the latest recruiting class for the Bison. NDSU signed Eden Taylor-Wineera, a midfield from Darlington, New South Wales, Australia; Regan Ostler, a defender from Fort Collins, Colo.; Grace Sjoberg, a defender/midfielder from Eagan, Minn.; McKenna Strand, a defender from Woodbury, Minn.; Kate Swanis, a midfielder from Las Vegas, Nev.; Paris Walsh, a defender from Las Vegas, Nev.; Paige Goaley, a forward from South St. Paul, Minn.; Taylore Simmons, a midfielder/forward from Las Vegas, Nev. and Lavin Douglass, a midfielder from Hopkins, Minn. on Nov. 14.
